On July 14, the Circassian city court sentenced nine defendants in the case of the Citizens of the USSR. This was reported by the press service of the court, the ATS-Info paid attention to this.

Five defendants were appointed terms of five to eight years of a general regime colony. Four more convicts were appointed conditional imprisonment, for what period-the press service does not specify. In addition, three defendants were banned for six years to engage in activities related to the work of public organizations, the rest of the six - they assigned a similar ban for five years. All defendants were also limited to freedom for a year, and two of them were fined 20 thousand rubles.

As follows from the card of the case, in total ten defendants. Whether the verdict was sentenced to all defendants, the press service does not specify. According to the court of the court, nine convicts were charged with the organization of an extremist organization (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code), one of them was also accused under the article on the illegal turnover of explosives or explosive devices (part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code), and the other in the illegal turnover of firearms (paragraph 3 of article 222 of the Criminal Code). Another person was charged with an article on participation in the activities of an extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code).

Probably, it is a criminal case against 11 residents of Karachay-Cherkessia. These are Aslan Naptugov, Vladimir Ilyichev, Abdulmalik Shoev, Ole Kuzhev, Adan Meremshaov, Larisa Yakusheva, Oleg Bondarenko, Olga Primak, Julia Kambieva, Svetlana Darova and Anita Tukova.

It is known that initially to Naptugov, Ilyichev, Shev, Kuzhev was charged with an article on participation in the extremist community, Mercamshaoov also charged explosives in the illegal turnover of explosives. What articles were charged with other defendants in the case is unknown. It is likely that in the verdict or during the judicial investigation the prosecution could be re -qualified.

According to investigators, the defendants in the case, “identifying themselves with the citizens of the USSR”, from March 2019 to June 2020 in the territory of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic created, led and took part in the extremist community, “pursuing personal benefits in the form of non-payment of credit obligations, utility bills and taxes.” In addition, the defendants "carried out illegal circulation of explosives or explosive devices, firearms and ammunition."

None of the nine defendants that the press service writes about were guilty.
