This is a reprint of the famous notes of the two Petersburgers born at the end of the 19th century and survived until 1977 and 1983: lawyer Dmitry Zasosov and traveler Vladimir Pyzin. The book was the first in the local history of the Bukinistic store "Academy" at the "Signature Publications". The authors talk about the life, life and morals of the inhabitants of the city at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. The book was published in 1991 and 2003, but the new edition was supplemented by detailed comments by art critic Alexander Stepanov, archival photographs and a gift set of cards from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.
