In particular, the billionaire demanded that the investigation be deleted on the websites and telegram channels “Vorstki” and “Important Stories”, on the YouTube channel “Important Stories” and the telegram channel of The Insider publication. In addition, Deripaska demanded that the authors of the material publish refutations, as well as collect from them and Google (as the owner of YouTube) 10 thousand rubles for each day of non-compliance with the court decision.

Deripaska requested that the hearing on the claim be held behind closed doors, which would “prevent the disclosure of the plaintiff’s private life and the violation of his rights and legitimate interests.”

According to the lawsuit, the investigation contains “information that Deripaska uses sex services” that creates an image of him as “an immoral person who finances illegal activities.”

“Despite the fact that using the services of prostitutes is not formally illegal, it is traditionally condemned and condemned in society and is an unapproved behavior for honest people leading a decent lifestyle. Thus, the information contains statements about O.V.’s unethical behavior. Deripaska,” the lawsuit says.

Among the “defamatory information” is also a fragment of the “Important Stories” video, which states that the criminal case about the pimp network was transferred to the prosecutor’s office for an indictment and the name of Deripaska, whose fortune in 2025 exceeded $4 billion, disappeared from there.

“The statement is designed in such a way that the viewer understands: the plaintiff allegedly paid law enforcement agencies so that a criminal case would not be brought against him. That is, the authors accuse the plaintiff of giving a bribe - transferring money to officials for committing illegal actions for the benefit of the plaintiff,” the lawsuit states.

It states that Deripaska is asking Roskomnadzor to limit access to the investigation as interim measures, otherwise the billionaire will suffer “significant damage as a result of the widespread dissemination of information discrediting him.”

“The risk of widespread dissemination of information increases due to the fact that the authors are foreign agents who have left the Russian Federation and are likely to continue disseminating information in order to cause maximum harm to the plaintiff and generate additional income due to the philistine interest in the plaintiff’s figure,” the lawsuit says.

The document notes that Deripaska’s reputation is “multifaceted and formed as a result of his many years of activity in various areas of public life and production.” Next, the billionaire’s merits are listed, including 22nd place in the Forbes list of businessmen-philanthropists, “promoting the development of the transport and metallurgical industries,” participation in the construction of Olympic facilities and state awards.

Deripaska filed a defamation lawsuit on July 18. There are five defendants in it, among them the authors of the investigation, Vorstka journalists Olesya Gerasimenko and Ivan Zhadayev, and Important Stories journalists Dmitry Velikovsky and Maria Zholobova. Google is listed as the fifth defendant.

On June 19, “Verstka”, together with “Important Stories,” released an investigation into a network of pimps that supplied schoolgirls for sex to influential men. One of the clients of this network could be Oleg Deripaska - the billionaire’s name is in the criminal case materials, and both victims and pimps talk about him.
