The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sent to the pre-trial detention center the vice-governor of the Bryansk region Nikolai Simonenko in the case of abuse of authority, which led to grave consequences (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code), the press service of the capital’s vessels said .
The detention of the official became known on July 22. TASS, citing a source in the power structures, wrote that Simonenko was charged with theft of about 818 million rubles during the construction of defense fortifications in the border zone of the Bryansk region.
Another involved in the theft case was the director of the capital construction department of the Bryansk region, Yevgeny Zhura. The Moscow court also appointed him the maintenance in jail.
Earlier it became known that the security forces opened a criminal case of fraud by an organized group on a large amount (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code) in connection with the loss of the so -called "dragon teeth" - strengthening structures against the ground forces.
As RIA Novosti wrote, one of the defendants in the case was Svetlana Afanasyeva, the director of Vodokanal Dubrovsky LLC - the organization was responsible for the construction of defense structures.
Mash writes that Afanasyeva testified against Simonenko. According to the investigation, the “dragon’s teeth” were either not brought to the border with Ukraine, or stolen after installation. Previously, searches in this case were held in the office of Vodokanal Dubrovsky.
