The magistrate court in Moscow fined the military expert Alexander Artamonov under the article on the initiation of hatred (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for the statement made by him on the air of “Channel One”. This was reported by "Svetest" with reference to the court decision .
In May 2024, in the stream of the Popular Front, shown on the day of Channel One, Artamonov called the Ukrainians “second -grade people”, explaining this, in his opinion, protests against the war. Later, notes the “layout”, his statement was convicted, including pro -government speakers - former leading Live Solovyov Alexander Semchenko, bloggers Yuri Podolyak, Alexander Kotz and writer Zakhar Prilepin.
Soon after, Artamonov reappeared on the Stream ONF, calling his words “incorrect” and explaining them by the “front -line manner of speech”. Already in August 2024, the Center “E” drew attention to the stream, and in the fall the prosecutor began to check. According to linguistic examination, it contains "signs of excitement of hatred on a national basis."
In court, Artamonov claimed that his words concerned exclusively by the Ukrainian military, and not all citizens of Ukraine, but the court did not agree with this. The exact amount of the fine is not indicated, but it can be from 10 to 20 thousand rubles.
