The 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced 21-year-old Alexander Belov, who was accused of state treason, preparation of the attack, involvement in terrorism and laundering of money. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Voronezh region.
He will spend the first three years in prison, the rest is in a maximum security colony. In addition, Belov was fined 600 thousand rubles.
According to the investigation, Belov allegedly made contact with the legion recognized in Russia with a terrorist organization. Investigators claim that the young man collected and transmitted data on the Russian military, and later received the task of blowing up an electrical substation in Voronezh. According to them, he tried to attract a friend, but he refused.
When exactly Belov was detained, it is not specified. The list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring was introduced in December 2024. In early June, the prosecutor's office reported that she approved the indictment in his case and sent him to court.
