The Russian surveys have been conducted for three consecutive years, starting in 2022. In 2024, 75% of respondents said they felt a significant increase in drug prices. In this group, 84% of the participants in the survey admitted that they could not buy the necessary drugs due to high prices. Even among people with an average income (15,000–35,000 rubles), 56% could not purchase medicines. And among those whose income exceeds 35,000 rubles per person, there were 30%of them.
According to the results of the InSAP study, 60% of the respondents either take the medicines prescribed by the doctor, or their close relatives depend on drugs. For such patients, regular medication is a matter of health and life, because missing doses can cause complications and disability, experts say. At the same time, in 2024, with the inability to buy the necessary drugs, 40% of such families collided, and in 60% of cases the reason was their high cost.
Special attention in the study is given to children. According to Rosstat, every fifth child in Russia lives in a low -income family. “The lack of adequate drug support in childhood can result in serious health problems in adulthood,” said Marina Kartseva, deputy director of the insap.
