In Astrakhan, part of the entrance of an apartment building collapsed, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
The incident occurred on Lyakhov Street, house number 6. What caused the collapse, the Ministry of Emergencies was not specified.
“Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies analyze the structures, evacuate the residents and look for possible victims,” the rescuers said in a statement.
Update. The Ministry of Emergencies reported that 16 residents were evacuated from the house. According to preliminary data, three people were injured.
The Baza telegram channel with reference to the Ministry of Emergencies writes that in 2020 the house was recognized as emergency.
Soon, the Ministry of Emergency Situations specified that, according to the updated data, “some of the apartments collapsed from the first to the fifth floor without a subsequent fire.” Rescuers manually disassemble the rubble.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under articles on negligence and destruction of property by negligence (293 and 168 of the Criminal Code).
