The prosecutor asks in absentia to be sentenced to the Tajik opposition Sharofiddin Gadoev to eight and a half years in the age of a colony in the case of the distribution of "fakes" about the Russian army (B. "B", "D" of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), Mediazona reports .
The reason for the criminal case was the video of 2022 on the ISLOH TV YouTube channel, where, according to the investigation, Gadoev spoke Tajik about the death of civilians of Ukraine from the actions of the Russian army. The accusation was built on the testimony of two witnesses - immigrants from Tajikistan. One of them, religious figure Hairiddin Dastakov, told the court that Gadoev and his associates are striving for a coup in Tajikistan and spread anti -Russian propaganda. According to him, their publications are directed against “strong Russia”.
Sharofiddin Gadoev is one of the leaders of the National Alliance of Tajikistan, which in Tajikistan was recognized as extremist and prohibiting, lives in the Netherlands. In June 2024, the Basmanny Court arrested him in absentia and another participant in the Alliance - Muhammadikbol Sadurdinov. Then the court decision indicated that the reason for the criminal case was publication with criticism of the Russian military.
