A journalist from Buryatia was included in the list of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring

Anna Zueva, a journalist from Buryatia and the former vice-president of the Free Buryatia Foundation on July 25, was included in the list of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring.

Earlier, the criminal case against Zueva was not reported. She herself admits that the case of “fakes” about the Russian army (Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code) could initiate against her. At the same time, her name is marked with an asterisk - this is how the defendants in terrorist articles are noted on the list.

“A certain G. B. Yandakov, who considers himself a senior investigator of the investigation department in the railway station Ulan-Ude, was very waiting for me in the office of N412 on July 10. The day before he sent a summons, where he said that he was calling me for interrogation as a “suspect”, ”Zueva said on her Facebook page.

In addition, the 77-year-old mother of the journalist on the phone called for a conversation. The woman refused and offered to send her a summons.

“What do I feel in mind the next round of repression because of my journalistic and anti-war work? In general, nothing special .... Unless a slight bewilderment. Does the Russian government really believe that if it includes me in a stupid list and condemn me to 5-10 years, I am scared, I will hang the castle on my YouTube channel and shut up? ” - wrote Zueva.

In November 2024, the Ministry of Justice brought the journalist to the list of “foreign agents”. After that, the courtswere fined for at least five times on administrative protocols about violation of the “foreign” legislation (Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). In addition, in July 2024, Zuev was fined five thousand rubles under the article on participation in the activities of an “unwanted organization” due to work in the Free Buryatia Foundation, which was declared “undesirable” in 2023.

• Since 2019, Zueva has been conducting its own YouTube channel , which currently has more than 70 thousand subscribers. Before that, she was the TV presenter of the Buryat channel ATV. In September 2019, Zueva announced the departure from the TV channel due to the lack of coverage of protests, which at that time went to Ulan-Ude. In 2023, the journalist left Russia. For some time she was the vice-president of the Free Buryatia Foundation, but in November 2024 she left the organization.
