The prosecution requested 6 years for the ex-director of Patriot Park in the case of embezzlement of the Ministry of Defense more than 25 million rubles

The military prosecutor asked the Odintsovo City Court in the suburbs to be sentenced to the former director of Patriot Park Vyacheslav Akhmedov to 6 years in a colony and a fine of 500 thousand rubles in the fraud case on an especially large scale.

Akhmedov’s case is considered in a special order due to the fact that he made a deal with the investigation.

Under what conditions he agreed to a pre -trial agreement to cooperate, the prosecutor did not specify, but noted that Akhmedov gave “complete and exhaustive” testimonies, including full -time rates with two witnesses. He confirmed clarified the circumstances of the conclusion of the contracts between Patriot Park and the contractors: the company “Engineer”, “Masterservice”, as well as several individual entrepreneurs. Akhmedov’s obligations under the pre -trial agreement can be considered executed, the prosecutor concluded.

According to the investigation, in 2022-2024, Akhmedov, as well as the ex-deputy chief of the innovation development department of the Ministry of Defense Vladimir Shestherov and the former deputy head of the Ministry of Defense Pavel Popov, stole more than 25 million rubles “by entering the documentation of knowingly false information about the construction work” in the Patriot Park.

And Popov, the stolen money, judging by the metric of the case, spent on the construction of the cottage, baths and garage on the site of his son in the suburbs, the prosecutor's office pointed out.

SK claimed that he forced commercial firms that have agreements with the park, to carry out construction and installation work in his country apartments without paying them. Popov himself rejects the prosecution.

Shesters, like Akhmedov, made a deal with the investigation. In July, he was sentenced to 6 years in the colony and deprived of the title of Major General.
