NYT: Russia was suspected of hacking the US court case

Russia is probably partially responsible for the hacking of the federal system of storage of court documents in the United States, which occurred in July, reports The New York Times, citing sources.

As the journalists specify, it is not yet clear who exactly made a hack - a hacker group, special services or an attack was committed through the mediation of other countries. Some sources familiar with the situation described what happened as "a long -term attempt to get into the system."

NYT writes that hackers were interested in criminal cases in New York and some other cities of the United States. At the same time, in several cases, in the documents, to which the crackers tried to access, people with Russian and East European surnames appeared.

The administrators of the judicial system, after finding a hack, called on American officials as soon as possible to remove the most confidential documents from the system. How successful the attack was also not specified.

In the last month, Russian infrastructure is regularly subjected to hacker attacks by unknown persons. In particular, at the end of July, a large -scale one occurred inthe work of Aeroflot. Over 50 flights throughout Russia were detained.
