The ministry believes that artificial intelligence should be introduced into the educational process with an emphasis on personality development, and measures should be provided to prevent dependence on it.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in education should help students develop cognitive abilities, critical thinking and social skills, and not cause digital dependence. This was stated in the Ministry of Education and Science, emphasizing that technology should contribute to concentrations and interest in educational material, and not interfere with personal growth.
At the same time, the Ministry recognizes: there are no unified rules for using AI in the educational and scientific environment yet. The regulatory framework has not yet been developed, but this should not inhibit the introduction of new tools. The ministry also noted the lack of specialists in the field of AI - especially against the backdrop of the rapid development of technology.
In 2025, as part of the Federal Project "Artificial Intelligence", the Ministry of Economic Development held a competition among research centers. The winners were Moscow State University, MFTI, Skoltech, ITMO, HSE, Innopolis and the Institute of System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Each institution will receive 676 million rubles for two years for fundamental research in the field of strong, trusted and multi -agent AI.
