The Perm administration withdrew the consent to the rally for the free Internet, which was going to hold on August 16 the local branch of the Dawn party, journalist Ekaterina Duntsova.

The reasons for the refusal are not called. The organizers called it "the result of the mass and popularity of the action, which is gaining momentum every day." “We will continue the action for free Internet, agree on a rally where there is no Covid, and all the details will be reported later,” they wrote.

The Perm branch of the Dawn Party was reported on the coordination of the rally “For the Free Internet” on August 8. The participants put forward several requirements - to cancel the fines for the search for “extremist materials”, abandon the locks of foreign social networks and stop constant disconnection of the Internet. According to the organizers, they said a rally on the city esclanade, but the administration allocated only the site on Vedeneev Street far from the center - "obviously, frightened by the opinion of the people's opinion."

• Ekaterina Duntsova, before the 2024 presidential elections, intended to register with a presidential candidate, but the CEC did not allow her to collect the signatures necessary for the nomination. After that, Duntsova tried to create her own party called "Dawn", but the Ministry of Justice of Russia refused to register. However, the supporters of Duntsova united under this name.
