The British actor Terent Stamp died

British actor Terens Stamp died at the age of 87, Reuters said with reference to his family's statement.

The statement states that Stamps left behind "an outstanding legacy that will touch and inspire people for many years."

Terens Stamp was born in 1938 in London. One of his first noticeable work was the role in the film "Billy Badd" in 1962 on the same novel by Herman Melville. This role brought him a nomination for Oscar and the Golden Globe Award for the best debut. Three years later, he played a major role in the film adaptation of John Fauls’s novel “Collector”, for which he received the award as the best young actor at the Cannes Film Festival. In the late 1960s, Stamp played the main role in the film “Theorem” Pierre Paolo Pasolini, as well as in the film-trilogy “Three Steps in Delusky”-in one of the parts taken by Federico Fellini.

In 1977, the STEMP starred in the film "Superman" as a villain of General Zod, and in 1980 - in "Superman 2".

In the period from 1978 to 2019, Stamp played in more than 50 paintings. The New York Times notes that one of his most memorable works is the main role in the film by Stephen Sodaberg, the Englishman 1999. He also played in the paintings “Wall Street” (1987), “Young Rules” (1988), “Star Wars: Episode 1-Hidden Threat” (1999). His last film was the horror "last night in Soho" (2021).
