“Conversations about the important” will begin to be held in kindergartens in Russia

Classes will begin in September in 22 regions, including the occupied territories of Ukraine

I will conduct “Conversations about the Important” for kindergarten students aged from three to seven years in 22 regions, including in the occupied territories of Ukraine - in the “DPR”, “LPR” and the Zaporozhye region. The “testing” of the lessons will last until the end of the year; based on its results, the Ministry of Education will decide whether it is worth introducing such classes in all state kindergartens in Russia.

As part of “Conversations about Important Things,” children will be talked about on topics such as “The importance of family and friendship, developing communication and cooperation skills,” “Development of moral qualities: kindness, honesty, justice, mercy,” “Knowledge of history, respect for the culture of Russia and love for the Motherland.”

The idea of ​​extending “Conversations about Important Things” to kindergarten students was proposed last year by Vologda kindergarten teacher Nadezhda Vorontsova, and Vladimir Putin supported her. “At five years old, a child is already able to understand how to love the Motherland, as well as many other things,” the woman said.

“Conversations about important things” appeared in schools as a compulsory subject in the fall of 2022. Teachers from several regions and representatives of teachers' trade unions said that they were not allocated additional funds to pay for this work.

“Layout” spoke in detail about the content of several “Conversations about Important Things”: children were told about “distorting history,” “serving one’s country,” and “professional ethics of journalists.” Also last March, classes were held dedicated to the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall: during which children were played Putin’s address and the Shaman’s song.
