
The Ministry of Justice brought to the register of “foreign agents” of the pro -government political scientist Sergei Markov. This was stated in the press service of the department.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Markov participated in the creation and distribution of materials of “foreign agents” and “undesirable” organizations. He was also a respondent at the information sites provided by “foreign agents”, the department emphasized. In addition, Markov “disseminated inaccurate information about the decisions made by the public authorities and the policy they pursue,” the Ministry of Justice’s press release says.
In a conversation with Madia, the political scientist said that there was a “error and slander”.
“It seems to me that this is some kind of slander, because, well, firstly, I am not a foreign agent, and secondly, I had no contacts. Well, sometimes they can somehow make a mistake. I don’t know anything about this, ”said Markov.
Also today, the list of “Ino -Agents” included a blogger and musician Dmitry Nyberg (Qianti), Archpriest Andrei Kordochkin, activist Rajan Dugarova, Tamizdat Project project and the life of Muslims Alif TV.
Sergey Markov is a Russian pro-government political scientist, ex-deputy of the State Duma, a former member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and Vladimir Putin's confidant in the 2012 elections.
In July, Markov criticized the Z-bloggers after a trip to the III Shushinsky global media forum to Azerbaijani Karabakh. There he called the President of the Republic of Ilham Aliyev "wise leader."
