A system of voluntary restriction of access to potentially dangerous content will begin to work in Russia. This decision is provided for by the approved government plan. According to the plan, the development of the system will fall on a number of ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Culture, Roskomnadzor and Rosmolodzh.

We are talking about a voluntary restriction of access to information that may pose a danger to users, but has not yet been blocked in the territory of the Russian Federation. The implementation period is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.

In addition, the plan also provides for the use of artificial intelligence to identify illegal content in the Russian network segment. If materials that violate the legislation are detected, access to them will be blocked.

Responsibility for the implementation of AI as a tool for finding illegal content is entrusted with Roskomnadzor, Minzifra, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, as well as the Prosecutor General and the Investigative Committee. The terms of implementation are not established, the work will be carried out continuously. It is assumed that the use of AI will increase the efficiency of detecting the relevant materials on the Internet.
