The Tagansky District Court of Moscow sent Mamedali Agayev to the pre -trial detention center of the former director of the Moscow Academic Theater. This was reported by the press service of the capital's courts.
Agayev was detained on August 28. He is accused of especially large -scale fraud (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code).
According to the security forces , Agayev registered as an individual entrepreneur and entered into fictitious agreements with the theater, according to which he wrote scenarios of performances and transferred rights to them. For this, the ex-director received up to 4% of the box office from each production.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the damage from the action of Agayev is estimated at 20 million rubles.
Mamedali Agayev led the satire theater for almost three decades - from 1992 to 2021, having left the post of his own free will.
