The United States will offer the countries of the Big Seven (G7) to develop a legal mechanism for the confiscation of frozen Russian assets. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to his disposal document with an American proposal.
This money is proposed to be used to finance the defense of Ukraine. We are talking about approximately 300 billion dollars, most of which are frozen in Europe.
According to Bloomberg sources, American officials discussed with European colleagues the idea of gradual removal of frozen assets in order to strengthen the pressure on Moscow in order to force it to continue negotiations on the termination of the war.
The United States also offer G7 to set duties from 50 to 100% against China and India for the purchase of Russian oil, impose sanctions against the Russian “shadow fleet”, a ban on marine transportation insurance, as well as sanctions against organizations supporting the Russian military industry, and regional banks. It is also proposed to prohibit the provision of services in the field of artificial intelligence and fintech in special economic zones of the Russian Federation.
