Messenger Max is required for body identification via video communication

Relatives write in telegram chats that all information is provided only through a bot in Max. In these same groups, they are also discussing the fact that now a “national messenger” is also needed to identify bodies in the Rostov morgue.

“Now the identification is taking place via video link, you are asked to download the MAX application, since at the moment in Russia it is prohibited to use video calls tg and whatsapp, so everyone is switching to max...download, the application is normal, I use it...” writes one of the chat participants.

“The body is identified via video link. And they are most likely asking you to install the application, since many people don’t have video calls right now,” another replies.

One of the relatives confirmed to Vorstka that video identification takes place only in Max, since calls in other messengers are “blocked” in Russia.

“I didn’t install it for two days, then I decided. It’s just that not all your data needs to be set in the settings. I called them and they were identified,” the woman explained.

The administration of the public also writes about this in the comments in the “Sarmat” group on VK. “Due to the restriction of video calls in the Telegram and WhatsApp messengers, indeed, the representative of the investigative group at the 522nd Center for Criminal Investigation uses the national messenger Max in their work,” the message says.

In addition, “directors” - employees who are constantly on the territory of the Rostov morgue and keep in touch with the relatives of soldiers in their direction - have also begun to switch to the Max messenger.
