The agency demands to recognize the owners of Lanta - Alexander Zaitsev and Alexander Vasiliev - “extremists” and turn their assets, including business and real estate into the state’s income.
According to Vasiliev, the materials of the lawsuit feature his posts from 2014, where he criticized Internet blockers, announced the appearance of the rain television channel in the provider package and made reposts of Alexei Navalny's publications. “Both links were to posts of 2014, when Navalny was not yet recognized as an extremist and participated in the elections of the mayor of Moscow,” he writes.
In addition, the prosecutor's office indicated possible donations to Vasiliev FBK. He does not exclude that he really could make them, but emphasizes that in 2020 the organization acted legally.
Also, according to Vasiliev, the fact of the lawsuit was the fact of doing business with the co -owner of Lanta Alexander Zaitsev. The prosecutor's office claims that Zaitsev left for Bulgaria and founded the For Free Russia Association along with the opposition Gennady Gudkov. Vasiliev claims that he did not communicate with Zaitsev for more than five years and does not maintain communications with him.
