The Leninsky District Court of Izhevsk sentenced five defendants in a criminal case of protests in Bashkortostan by a period of 4.5 to 5.5 years of a general regime colony. This is reported by the lawyer of one of the defendants.
Among the convicts are the InSaf Islamov and Sagit Yulmukhametov. Their and two more people were sentenced to 4 years and 6 months of a colony of general regime. Another defendant was appointed 5 years and 6 months of the colony. Given the time spent in jail, they have already left for 2.5 years from these terms.
All five found guilty under the article on participation in the riots (part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code). In addition, four of them were found guilty under an article on the use of violence to police officers (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). The convicted person, who was appointed 5.5 years of the colony, was charged with the use of violence to the police, dangerous to health (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code).
