Sobyanin announced the destruction of 19 drones who attacked Moscow

The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense in the evening of September 22 destroyed 11 drones flying to Moscow. According to preliminary data, there are no victims, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Updated . The number of drones shot down on the approach to Moscow reached 19, Sobyanin said.

According to the telegram channel “Caution, Moscow”, residents of the Odintsovo and Sergius-Posad districts of the Moscow Region, as well as several Moscow regions, reported the sounds of explosions (probably the sounds of air defense work). In the Reutov near Moscow, four cars were injured in the fall of UAV wreckage, reports RusNews.

Against the background of the drone attack, Sheremetyevo Airport was temporarily closed. Other Moscow airports reported on flight delay. A video of the airliner appeared in social networks, which flies over residential buildings in New Moscow at low altitude, presumably during the attack of the UAV.

The previous time Sergey Sobyanin reported the destruction of drones flying to Moscow on the night of September 12. Then, according to him, nine drones were shot down.
