The special corner of “New” Tatyana Vasilchuk went to the Kursk region, met with refugees from Sudzhi, came to our Thursday stream, and I, following the results of what I read and I heard, realized that “I can’t be silent”.
The problem is still in us. Which? Yes, almost any. You read and listen to stories about the stale of officials, about the formalism of judges who consider the requirements of Suzhan, who have lost housing and in general all property - and you are not surprised. Where did you see sincere officials and compassionate judges from us? But at some household level, we are used to separating ourselves from the state. Officials, deputies, security forces are not “we”. And we are kind, cordial, sincere. Those very traditional values, what we mean when we are talking about our special character, kindness, responsiveness ...
There are several such places in Tatyana's material: “... Locals in Kursk shout:“ Yes, you pay 65 thousand a month for you! How lucky you are! ” She talked with a large family of refugees. The Movokovs adopted 11 children. And one more child. Although for them they are all their own. They settled in a destroyed house with a family of relatives, who had four children, as they could put him in order, are far away, they stopped asking humanitarian assistance after an employee of the distribution point of the humanitarian, told them briefly: “How are you ***!”
“You are creatures. You are crests, ”Volodya adds immediately (one of the heroes of the story). In Kursk, I hear this more than once, so they call Suzhan. - And how do the chicken differs from you? - I ask. “We have such a talk,” Lena replies. - Everyone in Ukraine has a relative, relatives. Son, father, mother. They say that Kursk began to fire because of us, because we came to them. And some generally thought that Suda is Ukraine. Only 100 kilometers. And not your own. ”
I heard similar stories before. When
In Kursk, people did not care what was going on in Sudge, then still under occupation. Because it does not concern them. Because it is far away. One hundred kilometers.
We have rivalry, envy, even enmity between residents of different regions. Due to some local features, historical events. But so that the inhabitants of one region contemptuously talk about fellow countrymen living in a half hours from them by car!
They envied 65 thousand rubles a month - and I remembered how the economist Igor Kachalov assured us on the air of NTV that the median salary in Russia - just the same 65 thousand - this is not a few, it is a lot! According to the World Bank, to which Kachalov referred, in Russia you can buy a conditional unit of money three and a half times more goods and services than in America. Therefore, our 65 thousand is $ 2700. And this is already wow! Forgetting to clarify that the rubles in Russia, and dollars in America. And that in our country $ 2,700 and in the States is different money, there is about this amount of unemployed pay on benefits.

But these are side details, and I remembered this precisely because 65 thousand rubles that the Sudzhans pay, became the subject of envy and malice. It turns out that people who have lost the house, all the property living in the hibaras who restore their own hands - these people are lucky and richer.
I remembered more old stories. When there were terrible fires in 2010, the peat was able to cover a significant part of Central Russia, and the heat beat all records. Then hundreds of houses burned from fires, 127 settlements were completely or partially destroyed, 53 people were killed. The authorities did not show themselves very well at that time, but the Pogorelians nevertheless received help, and in the affected areas they restored something, rebuilt, and gave new housing. And to those who lost loved ones in the fire, lost at home, too, like a fire, envy flashed. They gave them money! They built a new house! And they did not give us, but we were not built! There were suspicions that someone even intentionally began to arrange arson, hoping that their state would not abandon and give money and housing.
Now people are dying on his. Relatives receive payments, "grave." Millions of rubles. Which for most of their neighbors are fabulous wealth. It’s not to condolences and warm words. People do not see someone else's grief - people see other people's money.
They do not throw their own. They do not consider them all of them.
Among other folk wisdoms, we got the one that about the neighbor and his cow, who died. The death of a neighboring Burenka is able to cause great satisfaction in us, forcing us to forget about our own hardships. If it is not possible to be equal in abundance, it is much more pleasant to feel equality in poverty. This is not news. Just life periodically throws us new examples and makes us refresh in memory.
