The murder of a conservative activist Charlie Kirk caused not only a violent reaction of conservative circles in the United States, but also historical comparisons with other turning points of history that led to terror under the slogans of “fair revenge”.
One of the members of the Congress, the Republican of Wisconsin Derrick Van Van Order, called the murder of Kirk a catalyst similar to September 11, saying that he would not allow "left -wing discharges to capture my country." Representatives of the Russian opposition immediately recalled the murder of Kirov and the Stalinist terror. American bloggers-intellectuals compared what happened to the arson of the Reichstag, who untied the hands of the Nazi militants.
But the bottom line is that Trump is not a yota of Stalin or Hitler. What is happening in the United States cannot even be called Light terror.
The current calls for the revenge of some politicians and public figures, attempts to “tighten the nuts” simultaneously against those who on social networks welcomed the death of Kirk (there he was called the leader of the Trump “Hitler Youth” and, accordingly, “Komsomol”), and those who criticize the current administration (agree, “two big differences” between the first and seconds!) Woke Right - “Right Awakening”. Clearing the connection of what is happening with the recent “offensive of the left” (protests against racial, gender, economic and social inequality), expressed in mass movements-from BLM (“Black Life”), Metoo (“And I, too”) to OCCUPY Wall Street (“occupy Wall Street”).
The reasons for the “onset of the left” were different and concrete. For the “occupy” movement, a world financial crisis that left tens and hundreds of thousands of work and housing in the United States, for Metoo-a sex scandal around the “star film producer” Harvey Weinstein, for BLM-the resonant deaths of African Americans at the hands of the police. And yes, people accused of countering the new course of the left Dei (diversity, equality, inclusiveness) also lost their work and the usual social and social status. The then punishment of disagreed or “offended in violations of the Dei” through direct dismissal or injury to social networks, similar to ostracism, called the Cancellation Culture. The concept of “diversity, equality and inclusiveness”, used by personnel departments at workplaces and in educational institutions, led to the creation of unfair quotas, when preference was not given to the best candidates, but to representatives of “historically oppressed minorities” - racial, gender and others.
What is happening today (namely, “awakening to the right”), many observers compare with the pendulum, which in the American two -party history always swaying to the right, then goes left and vice versa.
Now there is no doubt in religious conservatism, justify abortion or illegal immigrants. However, the matter is not only a change in the agenda.
The problem is that every year the degree of tension (the amplitude of the pendulum) is growing, but not everyone is aware of this, blinded by intolerance, or even frank hatred of those who are in other positions. “We live with violence, we are faced with him every day. We simply do not call it political. For conservatives, this is not even violence, ”writes American writer Jessica Valenti, who claims that the death of pregnant women from sepsis, murder of abortion services, shooting in schools and deaths due to refusal to pay insurance compensation-all these are examples of political violence. Active participants in the street protests - the movement of antifa, which is ranked to modern anarchists - Trump recently declared by his decree to be terrorist. This is only the beginning. The president declared the left - his political opponents - the threat of national security, promised to conduct large -scale investigations and generally “beat them to half to death” (literally from English: “to knock hell out of them”).

For the Republican Party, the death of Kirk, who was called the future presidential candidate and the creator of Trump Victory in the elections, became really a “turning point” (Turning Point - the name of the movement of Kirka, political and religious). As the American press notes, one of them requires “retaliation”, and someone says that the parties need a “revival”.
The two approaches clearly manifested themselves on the Sunday Panchid in the Kirk at a crowded stadium in Arizona, broadcast by the largest channels. The widow of Kirk, Erica, made a speech in which she reminded that her husband "wanted to save young people, the same as the one who deprived his life." “On the cross, the Savior said:“ Father! Sorry for them, for they do not know what they are doing. ” I forgive this young man. I forgive him because Christ did this. And so Charlie would have done. ” President Trump called Kirk a missionary with a noble spirit, but stated that he did not agree with his views on those who have a different opinion. “He did not hate his opponents, he wished them the best,” Trump said. “In this I do not agree with Charlie. I hate my opponent. I do not wish him the best. " Hearing the approving rumble of the crowd, the president broke in a wide smile.
Protrampov blogger Hai Raychik, a leading account on the social network Libs of Tiktok*, wrote: "This is a war." Vice President Jay Di Wence called for “calling on a duel” those who criticized Kirk’s social networks or spoke approvingly about his death. If not a duel, then “damn it, call their employers,” Wence admonished.
By the way, employers in the current administration take those who were previously fired for inappropriate statements. The media noted that the position of acting Darren Bitt, deputy Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Relations, dismissed from the post of speaker in the first administration of Trump for a speech at a conference with the participation of white nationalists. Before his new appointment, Bitty continued to publish racist messages on the Internet. “If you want everything to work, there must be competent white men in power. Unfortunately, our entire national ideology is based on indulging in the feelings of women and minorities and demoralization of competent white men, ”wrote the future deputy Rubio in social networks. In July, Bitty was additionally appointed the head of the Washington Institute of the World.

The Ministry of Defense was hired by Kingsley Wilson, the daughter of a conservative commentator Steve Cortes, despite her history of extremist statements-supporting the so-called theory of great substitution, claiming that the liberals purposefully seek to replace the white population of the United States by foreigners and immigrants.
People who have been persecuted for statements about Kirke represent different layers of society: law firms, the media, the army and public service. According to New York Times: “A large-scale and rapidly developing campaign to identify and condemnation led to countless losses of jobs, detachments from office and internal investigations.”
An employee of the secret service was sent on an administrative vacation after he wrote on Facebook ** that Kirk “splashed hatred and racism in his show,” said the representative of the agency Anthony Gulelmi. Some teachers in Texas and Ayov were fired or sent on vacation. Investigations also began in the schools of Florida, Oklahoma, Massachusetts (liberal staff), Virginia, Rhizen Alend and South Carolina. Teachers who “said something wrong” about the deceased are threatened with punishment, up to the recall of a professional certificate. After Michael Mann, a well-known climatologist working at the University of Pennsylvania, reposted the message in which Kirk was named the head of the Trump Hitler Yugen, the resort-republican Dave McCormic, calling the message disgusting, called for the university to take immediate and decisive measures. And it was only a repost!
Rose Pulisa, deputy of the Assembly Colorado from the Republican Party, appealed to the Democrat Governor Jared Polis with a request to dismiss a civil servant who accused Kirk on the Internet that he was a white man spewing terrible words against all marginalized communities. Congressman Clear Higgins, a Republican from Louisiana, said that he plans to use the powers of Congress to force technological companies to lifelously remove anyone who deterses the murder of Charlie Kirk. The Minister of the Navy John S. Flan published a message that states that with regard to sailors or marine infantrymen convicted of disrespect for the murdered compatriot, quick and decisive measures will be taken. The leaders of other branches of troops published similar statements.
Officials of the Ministry of Internal Security, having received billions of dollars from the recent “large beautiful bill” of Trump, hire new agents and tighten measures, urging employees to check the accounts of immigrants on social networks for anti -American statements.
The US citizenship and immigration service states: “American benefits should not be provided to those who despise the country and promote anti -American ideology.” Christopher Landau, Deputy Secretary of State, turned to his subscribers (and more than 200 thousand) on the X (previously Twitter) network with a request to contact him and provide information about "foreigners who praise violence and hatred." “Please do not hesitate to bring such comments on foreigners to my attention so that @statededpt can protect the American people,” the deputy writes. Rubio.
And the Americans are trying. Moreover, decrees (codemhood, denunciations, signals from places - call as you want) here, starting from school, is not considered a great sin. Rather, on the contrary.
How is a wave of denunciations and dismissals in society, where there is the first amendment guaranteeing freedom of speech? The most high -profile dismissal for Kirk’s criticism could be the dismissal of the popular ABC presenter show, Jimmy Kimmel, one of those opponents of Trump for which the president has a longtime tooth.
How did he gu off in Trump's eyes?

A week ago, Kimmel said on the night air that “the gang of Maga is desperately trying to imagine a guy who killed Charlie Kirk, by anyone, not one of his own” and seeks to “extract political glasses from this”. Trump’s video was also shown, who, to the question of how he experiences the tragedy, answers “very well” and unexpectedly begins to tell that, by his order, a ballroom is being built in the White House and that “it will be beauty”. The comedian noted that this behavior is more like a child’s reaction to the death of a goldfish than the reaction of an adult who has lost a friend.
The jokes of the American political comedian were not aimed at Kirk, but at the Republicans, whom he accused of using this event for political benefits,
Writes Washington Post.
Kimmel’s show lasted on the air of 23 seasons (more - 30 seasons - only the founder of the genre of the political television show Johnny Karson). When ABC announced the suspension of the show due to the statements of the host, the scandal erupted. People picked up the studio, the media (with the exception of ultra -conservatives) were outraged by the attack on the first adjustment. Brendan Carr, Chairman of the Federal Commission for Communications (television and broadcasting regulator in America), who is considered an ardent supporter of Trump, called Kimmel's behavior disgusting and said that his commission could apply sanctions on ABC and Disney (Channel Owners) for the spread of disinformation- Kimmel allegedly presented Charlie Kirli as a supporter "Right views." Trump (in the past, the host of the reality show “Student”) welcomed the decision to stop the program, calling Kimmel with mediocrity with a minimum rating. However, this is how he speaks of other leaders who dare to criticize him.
The guild of scriptwriters and the Hollywood film actors, actors, comedians, journalists and politicians stood up for Kimmel. On the air of CBS, the host of Stephen Kolber opened his show with the words: “We are all Jimmy Kimmel” - and called the detachment of a person who leads an undisguised blow to freedom of speech. Seth Mayers (shows him, including CNN), said that for him "privileges and honor is to call Jimmy Kimmel his friend."

By the way, this is no longer a precedent. CBS was announced in July about the closure of the flask show on CBS, it is being finalized until May next year. (Satisfied Trump then announced: “The next is Kimmel.” How he looked into the water!). But other popular television and opponents have encountered a direct threat of losing work on TV and going into Internet feeders. These days they “praised” the offended president, and in fact, mocked him in revenge for his colleague. Under the friendly laughter of the studio, Seth Mayers said about Trump: “I always considered him a visitor, an innovator, great president and even more outstanding golf player.” Next, the host demonstrated a selection of a video where Donald Trump claims to put an end to state censorship and restored freedom of speech in the United States.
In the midst of the scandal, Disney said that after “thoughtful conversations” with Jimmy on Tuesday evening - a week after the stop - the show was returned to the air. The first amendment works (so far). True, two companies - the television signal broadcasts on local networks Nexstar and Sinclair refused to show Kimmel, the show lost about 20% of the usual audience live. Trump was extremely indignant at the return of Kimmel and threatens a lawsuit. The President, who is characterized by rare vindictiveness, recalled that he had already won in court ABC $ 16 million, and this time promised to sue a much larger lawsuit. So this is not a denouement yet.
And Kimmel shit three times on the air, apologized to those who were offended, clarified his words and reminded the call to the forgiveness, which the widow Charlie Kirka spoke on the panchid and which Trump rejected.
And yet - Kimmel promised to protect freedom of speech, including from the head of the Federal Commission for Communications of Carr and President Trump. The role of the new head of the federal commission was played by Robert de Niro, who announced: "Speech is no longer free."
The return of Kimmel is a small, but noticeable victory of those who opposed the right turn and “right awakening”. It is important than the local society will answer. So far, it’s too early to talk about reconciliation or finding a compromise. Only resistance remains if your opponent understands and respects only strength and openly hates those who are not happy with him.
