The Russian military on the night of September 28, 2025 inflicted one of the most massive blows to Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian air forces, in total, the Russian Federation launched 593 drones, two Banderah jet drones, 38 X-101 cruise missiles, eight caliber cruise missiles and two dagger aeroballistic missiles.

The Armed Forces said that in total, direct hits of five missiles and 31 drones in 15 locations were recorded, as well as a drop in fragments of shot down missiles and drones on 25 locations.

The greatest blow fell on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. In Kyiv, a five-story residential building in the Solomensky district was partially destroyed, a 12-year-old girl died under the rubble. As a result of getting into the building of the Cardiology Institute, two people were killed - nurse and patient. In total, the mayor Vitaly Klitschko said , four people were killed in the city, another 14 were injured.

In the Kyiv region, due to the attack, damage was recorded in the Buchansky, Fastovsky, Belotserkovsky, Obukhov and Borispol districts. In the village of Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka, six apartment and ten private houses were damaged, said the head of the regional military administration Nikolai Kalashnik. 30 people were injured, four of them were hospitalized.

In Zaporozhye, one of the missiles hit next to the nine -story building, as a result of which a strong fire began in the house and in the adjacent territory. At least 30 people were injured, including three children. Also, due to the Russian blow, fires occurred in the Chernihiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Sumy and Odessa regions.

Throughout Ukraine, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, more than a hundred civilian facilities were damaged as a result of the Russian attack.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that "this vile attack occurred in fact as the end of the UN General Assembly of the UN, and this is how Russia declares its real position." According to Zelensky, it is profitable to continue the war to the Kremlin while the Russian Federation receives enough funds from the sale of energy resources and while its shadow fleet is operating. “We will continue to imprison the response to deprive Russia of these opportunities to earn and force their diplomacy,” Zelensky said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the blow was dealt on the facilities of the military-industrial complex, as well as the infrastructure of military airfields. The department said that the target goals have been achieved and "all the appointed objects are amazed."
