Russians will pay 33 billion rubles for the maintenance of Putin and the AP

A year ago they were already increased by 25%

The maintenance of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his administration in 2026 may cost taxpayers 32 billion 917 million rubles. This amount is included in the draft federal budget for 2026, Vorstka noted.

This is 1 billion 720 million rubles more than this year, when 31 billion 197 million rubles were allocated to “ensure the functioning of the president and his administration.” Moreover, initially this amount was less – 31 billion 42 million rubles. This is exactly what was included in the budget adopted last fall. However, this summer the parliament and Putin himself increased these expenses by 155 million rubles. As follows from the documents, additional funds were required to pay salaries to AP employees.

Thus, in annual terms, the increase in expenses for the president and the presidential administration will be 5.5%. This is higher than the projected inflation rate in 2026, which, according to the Central Bank’starget , is at 4%. At the same time, last year the costs of maintaining Putin and his administration increased by a record 25.5%.

In total, over 2026-2028 it is planned to spend more than 100 billion rubles on the maintenance of the president and the administration.
