In the Sverdlovsk region, two accused of raping a schoolgirl did not come to court after the verdict was handed down. They were put on the wanted list

Two accused of raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl, 32-year-old Alexander Shangin and 30-year-old Alexander Bykov, did not appear in court in Alapaevsk, Sverdlovsk region, after the verdict was handed down, the E1 portal and telegram channel “Caution, News” report, citing lawyer Sergei Samkov.

According to investigators, in January 2024, Shangin and Bykov committed “acts of a sexual nature with the use of violence against a 15-year-old schoolgirl.” According to lawyer Sergei Samkov (he defends the victim), the investigation claims that one of the accused invited the girl for a ride in a car. She agreed and he took her to a private house where she was raped.

Samkov said that on October 6, 2025, the Alapaevsk City Court handed down a sentence in this case: 11.5 years in prison for Shangin (part 3 of Article 132 and part 3 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code) and 10 years for Bykov (part 3 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code). According to the publication Ura.ru, during the trial both defendants were under recognizance not to leave the place, but they did not appear at the announcement of the verdict.

“The girl’s mother is very afraid that they might take revenge. It is unknown what is on their mind. Now my daughter is just going to school. He told me to walk only with the dog now. The relatives of one of the Alexanders most likely know where he is now, but they are not talking,” said Sergei Samkov.

He added that initially the Investigative Committee in Alapaevsk refused to initiate a criminal case because there was insufficient evidence.

The court decided to put Shangin and Bykov on the wanted list. Bykov's wife told E1 that she does not know where her husband is. According to her, they are in the process of divorce, but this is not related to the trial - she does not believe in Bykov’s guilt.
