US President Donald Trump told reporters on board a plane en route to Israel that he was considering supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles. At the same time, he noted that he intends to first discuss this issue with Russia.
“Honestly, I may have to talk to Russia about Tomahawk. Do they want these missiles to fly towards them? I think I should talk to them about it,” Trump said, adding that he did not rule out a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin.
According to him, the delivery of Tomahawk will be a “new step in escalation,” which he already told Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about.
Trump stressed that Moscow should be interested in a peaceful resolution of the conflict “before it’s too late.”
The Kremlin called the possible transfer of missiles extremely dangerous. Russian Presidential Representative Dmitry Peskov said that the use of Tomahawk will require the participation of American specialists, which could lead to direct involvement of the United States in the conflict.
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev emphasized that the missiles have both conventional and nuclear versions, and it is impossible to distinguish them in flight. According to him, if deliveries take place, “the launches will be carried out not by Kyiv, but by Washington.”

According to the Financial Times (FT), American intelligence is actively involved in preparing Ukrainian strikes against Russian targets. The publication, citing official sources, reports that Washington provides Kiev with detailed intelligence data that allows them to determine targets, routes and times of attacks. This includes critical energy infrastructure facilities located deep behind Russian lines.
The publication's interlocutors claim that US intelligence is helping Ukraine adapt the flight routes of long-range drones so that they bypass Russian air defense systems. In some cases, American specialists are involved in assessing the vulnerability of specific targets and choosing the most effective attack directions.
According to FT sources, interaction between the US and Ukraine occurs at all stages - from planning operations to analyzing the consequences. One of the newspaper’s interlocutors called Ukrainian drones “a tool with which Washington can undermine the Russian economy and push the Kremlin into negotiations.”
Earlier, “Verstka” wrote that the United States plans to transfer additional intelligence to Ukraine for launching missile attacks on energy facilities, and that the White House was informed in advance about the upcoming Ukrainian offensive, which would require coordination with American services.
