In the Samara region, payments to contract workers were reduced five times

The region became the fourth subject where regional payments were reduced to a minimum in October

The authorities of the Samara region have reduced the regional payment for concluding a contract with the Ministry of Defense by five times: from 2.1 million to 400 thousand rubles. This is stated on the website of the contract service.

Why this decision was made is unknown. The increased payment was retained only for reserve officers.

Since January 1, 2025, the payment in the region amounted to 3.6 million and was the largest in the country. At the end of February it was reduced to 2.1 million.

As 7x7 notes , the region has become at least the fourth where, since the beginning of October, regional payments for concluding a contract have been reduced to a minimum threshold of 400 thousand rubles. Previously, similar changes were introduced by the authorities of Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Mari El.

400 thousand rubles is the minimum amount to which local authorities can reduce payments from the regional budget. In July 2024, Putin recommended that the regions set payments to contract workers no lower than this level, writes 7x7.
