Poland will create its own anti-drone system without waiting for the EU plan to build a “drone wall.” This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland Cezary Tomczyk.

The Defense Department will announce investments in drone detection, jamming and neutralization technologies in November, Tomczyk said. He did not name the volume of investments, only noting that at least half of the contracts will go to companies from Poland.

The official noted that Warsaw agrees with the idea of ​​a common anti-drone program within the EU and is ready to discuss any proposals, but is now giving priority to its own national project. In his opinion, in the future the “wall of drones” of the European Union will be able to complement the Polish system.

According to the plan of the Polish authorities, individual elements of the system will be put into operation within three months, and it will be fully deployed within two years. It will be integrated into the country's overall air defense system along with already deployed long- and medium-range elements.

Since September 2025, there has been a lot of talk in the European Union about the need to create a defense system against Russian drones. These discussions began after approximately 20 drones violated Polish airspace on the night of September 10. Fighters were scrambled to intercept them, several drones were shot down, and debris from one of the missiles fired by the planes destroyed a residential building.

Experts noted that NATO had spent enormous resources on intercepting cheap drones and warned that Russia could exploit this vulnerability in the future. The European Commission, in response to this threat, proposed a “drone wall” project, under which EU countries would jointly purchase cheap protective systems. Initially, the “wall” was planned to be built only on the eastern borders of the EU, but later it was decided to expand the project to the entire bloc.

The European Union has allocated two billion dollars for the production of drones in Ukraine. Kyiv will have to allocate part of these funds to the development of the latest technologies in the field of drones, which will then be used by the European Union itself.

Recent footage from Kharkov with a bombed kindergarten shocked me, as did the footage from Okhmatdyt . This is my worst fear, because I also have kids. Those creatures who make such decisions are destined for a separate cauldron in hell, and even during their lifetime. I believe it.

I understand why Ukrainians hate us. I hate us all, even myself - for what happened to be born here. I can no longer write on social networks in a closed account: what if someone denounces me, and even this is useless. In fact, it’s only me who needs this, so as not to feel powerless and try to be good at least in my own eyes.

All I think about is how to get out of all this, so that it would all be over and people would stop dying.
