National Unity Day: children wished for “life without war”

Some publications contained pacifist quotes from little-known poems

In Russian schools and kindergartens, events were held on the Day of National Unity with wishes for peace and “life without war.” Several dozen such posts published by institutions on social networks on November 4 were discovered by Vorstka.

The children wished in their congratulations “so that not a single person would see the horrors of war”

Mostly in the congratulations there is a wish for “a peaceful sky above your head” and “so that not a single person sees the horrors of war.” A number of posts talk about the “unity of nations” in the world, and, for example, Abinsk kindergarten No. 2 “Cossack” calls National Unity Day “a holiday of all people on the planet who do not want war.”

“The guys of the Kolosok group congratulate everyone on National Unity Day. Let the wars on planet Earth end and people learn to value friendship and love,” says another congratulation from kindergarten No. 291 in Izhevsk.

Often publications contain pacifist quotes from little-known poems. For example, the Neznamovsky kindergarten “Borovichok” in the Belgorod region gives the following lines in its post:

 “...So that children have a lot of toys,

 So that adults don't shoot from guns,

 So that all wars in the world stop,

 So that children smile and don’t die..."

In addition, in kindergartens and schools they made appliqués and painted “doves of peace.”

We would like to remind you that Vorstka previously reported that cadet groups are being opened en masse in Russian kindergartens. There, preschoolers undergo fire training and hone their report accuracy. And in the Rostov region, the military gave preschoolers a model of the “liberation of Bakhmut.” This happened during the “initiation” of children into the “Youth Army”, where they were given a tour of the military unit.
