Satellite images confirm three fires

A video of a Ukrainian attack on the port of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory on the night of November 2 appeared online. The footage shows air defense systems opening fire, followed by a bright flash.
BBC journalists verified the authenticity of the video by comparing the buildings in the recording with satellite images from Google and Yandex, and confirmed that the filming took place on the territory of Tuapse.

Fires and possible oil spill off the coast

According to data from NASA's FIRMS satellite platform, which records heat sources on the Earth's surface, three separate fires have been detected in the port area over the past 24 hours.

Three fires after the attack on the port of Tuapse were also confirmed by OSINT analysts of the Astra telegram channel. They found out that 2 outbreaks are located at the deep-water berth complex of RN-Marine Terminal Tuapse LLC, and another one is at the oil berth in the area of ​​the Southern Pier.

Satellite imagery from November 2 showed a possible oil spill some 3.6 km long, stretching from one of the port terminals towards the Black Sea.

Regional authorities confirmed the attack, saying that terminal buildings and two foreign ships were damaged, but there were no casualties.

At the beginning of September, “Verstka” talked about the discovery of new emissions of petroleum products in the Krasnodar Territory . Traces of contamination stretching three kilometers were found in the area from the port of Taman to Cape Zhelezny Rog. The cause was an oil spill from a tanker. According to Rosprirodnadzor, about 30 cubic meters of raw materials ended up in the sea.
