On November 8, the opening ceremony of a memorial bench in memory of Alexei Navalny took place in The Hague. It was attended, among others, by the widow of the politician Yulia Navalnaya.
A bench with a sign “Alexey Navalny (1976-2024), died for freedom” is installed next to the Russian embassy.

The initiator of the installation of the memorial bench was a resident of the Netherlands, Liz Hollman, Dozhd reports.
“I don’t have any Russian roots or family members there, but I really admire his courage. Every time I watched a video of him or a documentary about him, I thought, I wish I had a little courage like him. “I’m really very impressed by what he did for his country, putting his own interests into the background,” she told Dozhd.
