Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on new sanctions against Russian officials. The document was published on the website of the head of state.
Kyiv introduced new restrictions regarding the special representative of the Russian President and head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev, Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Bugaev, Major General and participant in negotiations with Ukraine Alexander Zorin, as well as Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut.
Sanctions were also imposed against the former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Alexander Tupitsky and the Russian book publishing houses Knizhny Mir, Veche, Tsentrpoligraf, Yauza and Piter.
“Today’s sanctions decisions of Ukraine include individuals working in Putin’s government structures and involved in robbery in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, one of his “wallets,” a functionary of Russian military intelligence and one of the collaborators,” Zelensky said , commenting on the sanctions.
The leader of Ukraine explained the restrictions on publishing houses by saying that they “work to justify aggression and spread Russian propaganda in the world.”
