A tanker caught fire in the port of Izmail after an attack by Russian drones. Romanian villages on the opposite bank of the Danube are being evacuated

In the Odessa region, in the port of Izmail on the Danube River, a tanker carrying liquefied natural gas caught fire as a result of an attack by Russian drones, Euronews reports.

According to Turkish authorities, the ship ORINDA, which flies the Turkish flag, came under attack. There were 16 crew members on board. All of them were evacuated, there were no casualties.

The Romanian authorities, due to the threat of an explosion on a tanker, announced the evacuation of two villages - Plauru and Catalchioi, located on the other bank of the Danube opposite Izmail.
