Rosfinmonitoring added Shenderovich to the list of “terrorists”

They are members of the Russian Anti-War Committee

Rosfinmonitoring included businessman Evgeny Chichvarkin, publicist Viktor Shenderovich, economist Sergei Aleksashenko and politician Maxim Reznik in the list of persons involved in extremism and terrorism. All of them are members of the Anti-War Committee of Russia.

In October 2025, it became known that criminal cases had been initiated against members of the committee under articles of violent seizure of power and the creation of a terrorist community. The investigation claims that the association’s founding documents contain a statement about “the need to eliminate the current government of Russia,” and its members allegedly finance Ukrainian paramilitary units and are recruiting volunteers to prepare for the forceful seizure of power.

The Russian Anti-War Committee was created in February 2022 after the start of the war against Ukraine. The organization states that it opposes the regime of Vladimir Putin and for the protection of rights and freedoms. In January 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office recognized the committee as “undesirable” in Russia.

Evgeny Chichvarkin is a Russian entrepreneur, founder and former co-owner of the Euroset network. In 2008, he emigrated to the UK after persecution in Russia in connection with his business and opposition activities. Actively criticizes the Russian authorities and supports democratic reforms and human rights initiatives.

Viktor Shenderovich is a Russian writer, playwright and publicist, known for his criticism of the authorities and participation in opposition movements. After pressure in Russia, he moved to Israel and continues his journalistic activities criticizing the Kremlin’s political course and supporting freedom of speech.

Sergei Aleksashenko is an economist, former Deputy Minister of Finance and First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia, now living abroad. Criticizes the economic policy of the Russian authorities, supports reforms and open discussion about the future of Russia.

Maxim Reznik is a Russian opposition politician, an active participant in civil actions and anti-corruption investigations. After a criminal case was initiated against him, he left Russia, continuing to criticize the authorities from abroad.

Earlier, “Verstka” wrote that Rosfinmonitoring included in the list of terrorists and extremists the former head of the Yukos oil company Mikhail Khodorkovsky , former State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov and historian Yuri Pivovarov, as well as former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov . Next to their names in the register there is an asterisk, indicating that cases have been initiated under “terrorist” articles.
