A resident of Kotelniki near Moscow was arrested on suspicion of murdering a 34-year-old neighbor and her first-grader son. For a year he was outraged by the noise from the upper apartment and the boy's tramping. At the same time, the woman herself complained about her neighbor and received threats from him. The media found out that 32-year-old Evgeniy was an employee of a Moscow university and worked a shift at a children's camp at the Federal Tax Service. “Cold” tells what is known about this.

Yevgeny was detained only two days later. According to Alina’s neighbors, she was divorced and lived alone with her son. Her ex-husband went on a business trip and could not contact her for several days. He asked one of the neighbors, whose name was not given, to check if everything was okay with Alina and the child.
“Approaching the door, the man saw that it was slightly open, and there were brown spots on the floor in the corridor,” said official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk. A neighbor immediately called the police, who discovered the bodies of the woman and her son. Yevgeny was detained “for several hours” in his apartment.
“They say he hit Alina 20 times with a hammer and three hits to her son. There were no signs that the door had been forced: most likely, she opened it for him herself. The suspect was found following blood trails: they led to his apartment. There was also blood on the doormat, basin and sneakers. They discovered it using ultraviolet light, apparently,” a resident of the house named Dmitry told Gazeta.ru.
Investigators said that the crime was most likely committed against the backdrop of a “protracted domestic conflict.”
Runs loudly, stomps and screams
As reported by the telegram channels Mash and Shot associated with the security forces, Evgeniy had been in conflict with Alina for about a year, accusing her son of screaming too loudly, running and stomping. Baza added that Evgeniy regularly came to Alina’s apartment and argued with her, “without holding back his words.”
According to Baza, many neighbors knew about the conflict between the residents, but it was not possible to resolve the situation peacefully. At the same time, the Moscow Online portal writes the opposite - according to its data, what happened came as a complete surprise to the residents of the building.
The publication found out that Alina herself complained about Evgeniy in the house chat. The woman called the local police officer and asked the neighbors for advice on what she should do, since they were knocking on the radiators from below and playing the sound of hammer blows in the speaker. According to neighbors cited by Gazeta.ru, Evgeniy wrote threatening notes against Alina’s son and put them in her mailbox. Alina also asked her ex-husband to talk to her neighbor.
“Mom is an incredibly kind and sympathetic person. This baby is incredible. Words are simply unnecessary in this situation, we are in shock,” said house resident Natalya. Moscow Online notes that many families with children live in the house, but one of the neighbors said that the residential complex has poor sound insulation. “In our toilet, you can actually hear everything three floors up and down,” she explained.

Baza claims that Evgeniy worked as a sales specialist, without specifying in what area. At the same time, the “Agency” established that the suspect’s name is Evgeny Geraskin. According to the publication, from 2014 to 2023 he worked at the Moscow Energy Institute (MEU). There he was a member of the department of youth policy and educational work.
In addition, before his dismissal, Evgeniy worked as a leading specialist in educational and methodological work at the Center for Assessment and Development of Management Competencies. This center was created on the basis of the youth policy department with the participation of the Russian government.
In addition to working at MEU, Geraskin also collaborated with other educational organizations. In 2016, he worked a shift at the Istra health camp “Berezka”, where children of employees of the Federal Tax Service were sent. The camp’s website says that all of its teachers are graduates or students of pedagogical universities with certificates from the school of counselors. The Agency also added that in 2019, Geraskin worked at the RusHydro Corporate University of Hydropower.
According to his neighbor, Evgeniy gave the impression of a calm person. At the same time, the media found out that 10 years ago Evgeniy posted a video on YouTube in which he came to congratulate his friend on her birthday. Then he broke into her apartment and put a knife to the throat of another girl with a gag in her mouth. In the video, Geraskin wished the birthday girl “good health, so that the neighbors don’t piss off and live quietly, so that there aren’t a lot of people and stupid chicks in the queues for dresses.” After this, Evgeniy threatened to kill the gagged girl if the birthday girl did not “dive” face-first into the cake.
