In Yaroslavl, drones attacked the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery. This was reported by Astra and the Ukrainian monitoring telegram channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+.
Local residents and regional publics spoke about a series of 5-7 explosions, flashes and a column of smoke in the area of the plant.
Officially, the authorities and the Russian Ministry of Defense announced only that the UAV attack had been repelled, without confirming a direct hit on the plant, but photos and videos of a large fire on the territory of the plant appeared in the media and social networks.
According to official data, a total of eight drones were shot down over the Yaroslavl region on the night of Friday, December 12.
The Slavneft-YANOS refinery is one of the five largest enterprises in Russia and is involved in providing fuel, including military needs. Potential damage to facilities could impact petroleum product logistics.
