The Shcherbinsky District Court of Moscow fined individual entrepreneur Daria Petrina under a protocol for failure to comply with an order related to “foreign agents” (Part 42 of Article 19.5 of the Administrative Code). Mediazona drew attention to the text of the decision of October 23.
The amount of the fine is not disclosed in the text of the resolution.
Petrina was charged with selling the book-autobiography of the writer and journalist Alexander Genis “The Kama Sutra of the Scribe. Reading lessons" on the Wildberries marketplace. She was given a warning about not being marked as a “foreign agent” on June 3.
Currently, Genis’ book is still available on the marketplace website: its cover is hidden under the “18+” banner, and next to the product there is a “Out of Stock” mark.
The Ministry of Justice added journalist and writer Alexander Genis to the register of “foreign agents” in September 2024.
