Former municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov was again placed in a punishment cell - this time for at least 12 days. The political prisoner's associates spoke about this.

The reason for sanctions against the politician was that he allegedly “held his hands incorrectly.” After the previous placement, Gorinov was transferred to a cell-type room for several days, after which he was again placed in an isolation ward.

“He is sure that he will also have to celebrate the New Year in a punishment cell. At the same time, Alexey, as always, remains cheerful and says hello to everyone. Alexey receives a lot of letters and is very happy about it, but due to restrictions in the punishment cell he does not have time to respond quickly,”

- said the support group.

Alexey Gorinov is the first person in Russia convicted under the article about “fakes about the army”: in July 2022, he was sentenced to seven years. Already in the colony, he was given a second term - in the case of “justification of terrorism.”
Gorinov was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell, where conditions of detention are more difficult than in a regular cell. He has a number of health problems: in particular, he suffers from severe pulmonary diseases due to the removal of part of his lungs before he was placed in custody. In the pre-trial detention center and colony, Gorinov’s bronchitis worsened, signs of tuberculosis appeared, and his vision deteriorated.
