They want to build a high-rise building in its place. Local residents and activists, who have been protecting this site for almost seven years, were ready for the start of work.

The day before, they found an advertisement in one of the channels for finding part-time work. Young people were urgently needed “to cordon off.” It was necessary to “stand along the perimeter so that local residents do not interfere with the territory.” The announcement said that the work was official, and the police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations would be on duty nearby. Payment - 4 thousand rubles per day.

Those who responded to this advertisement probably became the main “fists” of the Pride development company. For several hours they held back and pushed back dozens of opponents of the demolition. For a long time, the “Chopovites” managed to keep the activists out of the fence around the building, but in the afternoon, indignant citizens broke through to the walls of VNIIB and stopped work for a while.
