Lyudmila Liptser, in an address to Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, said that her husband, lawyer Alexei Liptser, has been transferred to a colony for more than a month. Novaya Gazeta writes about this.

During his transfer, Liptser visited six institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service, and since January 5 he has been in Krasnoyarsk pre-trial detention center-1.

“The final destination of the stage is still unknown. Considering his state of health, such movements in winter across Eastern Siberia can be described as torture,” the appeal says.

According to Liptser's wife, he sought medical help several times because his blood pressure rose to critical levels.

The lawyer has previously reported health problems while in prison. In April, his health deteriorated sharply: his blood pressure rose to 200/100, spider veins appeared all over his body, his limbs turned blue, his vision deteriorated, and headaches and pain in the kidneys and liver began. After this, he was hospitalized in the prison hospital. FSIN doctors diagnosed him with hypertension and dyslipidemia .

The lawyer’s wife asks Moskalkova to help her get Liptser transferred to a colony in the Samara region - where she lives with her daughter.

“This situation is very difficult for an adult to cope with, and even more difficult for a small, four-year-old child. Alexey Liptser being so far from our place of residence (Samara) actually deprives our daughter of the opportunity to see him. The last time she saw her dad was October 13, 2023,” writes Lyudmila Liptser in her appeal.

  • In January 2025, the court sentenced Alexey Liptser to five years in prison on charges of participating in the activities of an extremist community (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). Two more lawyers, Vadim Kobzev and Igor Sergunin, were sentenced to five and three and a half years in prison in the same case.
  • The security forces claimed that the lawyers who represented politician Alexei Navalny over the years were members of the Anti-Corruption Foundation he founded (in 2021 it was recognized as an extremist organization). Their participation, according to investigators, was that they transmitted information from Navalny, who was in custody, to his associates.
  • Kobzev and Liptser did not admit guilt.
