The Ministry of Justice updated the register of “foreign agents” after a month of silence: the last time this happened was December 12, 2025. In addition to Dubnov and “People of Baikal”, the list includes:
Ivan Kurilla*, Americanist;
Olga Kurnosova*, activist;
Maxim Mironov*, economist;
Alexey Tabalov*, human rights activist;
TV2 Media*.
According to the Ministry of Justice, all of them allegedly “criticized the Russian authorities,” “opposed military actions in Ukraine,” participated in the creation and distribution of materials from other “foreign agents,” and also “live outside Russia.”
Speaking on the last “direct line”, Vladimir Putin spoke about the law on foreign agents, which he signed.
“We [in this law] have one most important thing - show the sources of funding. Well, what's so scary here? It seems to me that there is nothing particularly terrible here,” Putin said .
As you can see, the Ministry of Justice, contrary to Putin’s words, does not indicate or mention any monetary relations included in the register.
The other day, Ekaterina Mizulina suggested that the authorities publish evidence of “foreign agency activities” included in the register, since “young people demand proofs,” and they, “proofs,” because the authorities “most likely have them”...
