Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation Kirill Dmitriev held talks with Special Envoy of the US President Steven Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner, TASS reports.
The meeting took place at the US House in Davos, Switzerland, where the international economic forum has been taking place since January 19. The negotiations lasted more than two hours; journalists were not invited to the meeting.
Witkoff said after the meeting that the talks "were very positive." In turn, Dmitriev said that his meetings in Davos are “constructive.” “More and more people are realizing that Russia’s position is correct,” he added.
Neither side reported the essence of the negotiations. It was expected that the main topic would be the US peace plan and the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
