The Northern Fleet Military Court sentenced 18-year-old Arkhangelsk resident Artemiya Koryukov to 13 years in prison in the case of an attack on the local technical school of construction and economics in September 2025, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported .
A former student of the institution was found guilty of participation in a terrorist organization and attempted murder of four people motivated by ideological hatred (Part 2 of Article 205.5 and Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).
He will have to spend the first two years of his sentence in prison, and the remaining term in a maximum security colony.
In September 2025, Koryukov, dissatisfied with his expulsion from the technical school, came to the educational institution and stabbed two teachers, and also tried to injure two students who wanted to detain him.
According to investigators, the ex-student also created and published a video on the Internet in which an attack on a technical school was simulated in a computer game.
Koryukov was additionally called a supporter of the “ideology of an international terrorist organization” that “promotes the use of violence and attacks on educational organizations” - most likely, the Investigative Committee was referring to the banned non-existent Columbine movement .
