A security guard from St. Petersburg is being tried for calls to “kill Putin’s horde” and go to rallies “until the thaw.”

Judge of the 1st Western District Military Court in St. Petersburg, Sergei Krasnopevtsev, began considering the case against 30-year-old Ivan Pilov under articles on justification of terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and calls for extremism (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code). Mediazona became aware of this.

Ivan Pilov was born in Zheleznogorsk; before the criminal case, he worked as the head of the security service at the Delmar restaurant chain in St. Petersburg. He was detained on September 9, 2025 and placed under house arrest at his place of registration - he participated in the hearing via video conference from the Kursk Regional Court.

Prosecutor Olesya Baydovskaya read out the indictment today. It follows from it that on January 31, 2021, Pilov published a comment in the telegram chat “Chat in Memory of Tesak”:

“We went out and then what? They shouted, waved flags and went home. What has changed from this? If you go out, then before the snow melts, and not “scheduled rallies,” standing and filming on your phone as one piece of garbage screws a schoolboy and throwing snowballs at the riot police - a fucking “revolution.”

On August 24, 2022, in the White Powder telegram channel, under a post that the war in Ukraine has been going on for six months, Pilov wrote:

“The main thing is that they don’t let the war freeze, so that there won’t be another Minsk-3.” During this time, the bald man will have time to rivet tanks and hailstones and collect more cannon fodder for a new raid. Already destroy Putin’s horde to the end and conquer all the occupied territories.”

On March 2, 2023, on his Instagram page, Pilov posted a photo of two military men holding a white-blue-white flag and wrote:

“Well, slaves, how were you feeling, did you think the war would not affect you and would only update the news feed? You are already used to mortar attacks and drones, so get used to this. At this rate, Bryansk will soon become part of the Sumy region, Belgorod is next in line. Glory to the RDK!

Ivan Pilov admitted guilt. Lawyer Evgeniy Balenko said that the defense will speak in more detail during the debate.

Testimony against Pilov was given by three people who allegedly accidentally stumbled upon his comments on the telegram and were “outraged” by what was written, as well as two witnesses who participated in the inspection of the comments on the telegram.

Pilov’s post on Instagram was seen by three of his acquaintances: Dmitry Tsvilev, Anton Zhukov and Ivan Taranenko. At the request of investigator Sergeev, they confirmed that Pilov had posted such a post in public access.
