More than ten people were injured due to an attack on a village near Krasnodar

The governor of Adygea announced a drone attack, OSINT channels announced a Russian air defense missile

In the village of New Adygea near Krasnodar, 13 people were injured. This happened due to an attack by Ukrainian drones, said the head of the Republic of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov.

According to him, nine victims were hospitalized, two of them are in intensive care in stable condition. Another 27 people are in a temporary accommodation facility, the head of the republic noted.

As a result of the attack, which occurred on the evening of January 20, a residential building and cars located next to it caught fire. Telegram channels were the first to report this, which also published footage from the scene of the incident.

Astra drew attention to one of the videos, where a resident says that a rocket flew in front of him. After analyzing the video of the moment of the impact and after it, the publication came to the conclusion that a Russian air defense missile hit the residential building.

The Ukrainian OSINT channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ also wrote that the destruction was caused by a Russian air defense missile.

Z-channels first supported the version of the head of Adygea about the attack by a Ukrainian drone, after which some of them stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a residential building with a Flamingo cruise missile. In particular, Z-blogger Alex Parker wrote about this.

Astra analyzed the direction of flight of the missile that hit the high-rise building and determined that the strike was delivered from the south, and Ukraine is located in the northwest relative to the village of Novaya Adygea.

Also visible in several videos is the moment the rocket was launched, presumably from the ground. The fact that this is a Russian anti-aircraft missile was confirmed by the founder of CIT, Ruslan Leviev: “If you look at footage of the launch of some types of missiles, such as the Flamingo, you will again see a white smoke trail, but only at the start - this is because they are launched using a solid fuel accelerator. <…> So yes, it was an anti-aircraft missile.”
