A trilateral meeting of the American, Ukrainian and Russian delegations will take place in the United Arab Emirates, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said, answering questions after his speech in Davos.
According to him, negotiations will take place on January 23-24. This will be the first such meeting at a technical level, as follows from Zelensky’s words.
The President of Ukraine said that US negotiators are going to Moscow for negotiations with Vladimir Putin. They, Zelensky claims, were waiting for the completion of his meeting with the leader of the United States Donald Trump in Davos.
“And now they will leave and my team will meet with the American team, and I think this will be the first trilateral meeting in the Emirates, and I think it will be tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Yes, this will be a meeting that will last two days in the Emirates,” Zelensky said.
According to Financial Times journalists, the United States is insisting on the trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi, which Zelensky announced. Ukraine supported the proposal, but it is not yet clear whether Russia agreed to negotiations.
